Morayshire is a beautiful farming county. In Findhorn we have easy access to forest walks in the Culbin or Roseisle and Darnaway. The River Findhorn is one of the most scenic in the country. Quiet cycle routes surround Findhorn with many mountain bike trails within a few miles.

Just a short drive from Findhorn you will find yourself in the stunning Cairngorm National Park . Walking and hiking routes as well as skiing in the winter can all be reached within an hour.

There are also many places of historical interest such as Culloden, Brodie Castle and Inverness close by.

Water

Where to start? Findhorn is surrounded by lots of water! There are so many activities! But here goes - seal watching, dolphin spotting,, bird watching, wild swimming, paddle boarding, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, rowing, fishing and crabbing. Just a few

Food

In Findhorn Village there are numerous excellent eateries. The Kimberley Inn, The Crown and Anchor Pub , The Captains Table at the Marina. Its possible to sit outside at all of these venues with great views of the Bay. The Bakehouse Deli gives you freshly baked bread every day , La Boheme takeaway and the Phoenix Cafe at the Foundation are also excellent. Morayshire has an abundance of fresh fish with local fish vans visiting the village weekly. In Hopeman and Burghead it is possible to purchase fresh shellfish from the local boats. There are also fabulous farm shops with local organic vegs, fruit and meat. The local Tesco in Forres will do a home delivery and the local village shop has everything you will need!
